about erin.
I’m a Richmond based artist and educator, who creates pet portraiture and wildlife portraits through painting and drawing. I studied at Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University and received a BFA in Glass with an Art Education Concentration. I explored glass blowing and transferring imagery onto glass through the process of engraving. I’ve received the Partner Scholarship to Pittsburgh Glass Center and the Art Alliance for Contemporary Visionary Scholarship.
Art has always been my first love. I was always cutting, taping, or coloring something when I was young. I sat at a small, wooden table filled with pencils, markers, scissors, or anything I could get my hands on. I discovered that this desire to create was a passion. My passion for art blossomed once I entered a high school with a well-known art program; I felt inspired to create endlessly through various art forms. As a teacher, I hope to fuel students’ curiosity by showing them the limitless possibilities to create.
